I didn't get any pictures when I was doing the design on the chalkboard, but HERE is a tutorial on how I create my chalkboards


Then I cut some old fence boards to the size, so cut them to whatever will fit your project.
Next, you will want to fasten the pieces of wood together.  I was going to glue mine together, but my handy husband suggested something a bit more sturdy.  He used his pocket hole jig to screw the boards together.

I added a little paint to the boards, because I like the look.
